SWISHER SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – ROAD CLOSURE

Weather pending, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 3rd Street will be closed to all traffic from Swisher View Drive to the west side of Essex Avenue for concrete paving operations.  It is expected that 3rd Street will be re-opened to local traffic and on-street parking on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Because the roadway will be closed to all access during this time, it is recommended that residents with driveway access in this area of 3rd Street park their cars in an alternate location prior to 7am on May 21, 2025 as there will be no access in or out of driveways once paving operations begin.  Please note that this work will include Concrete Sawing, which typically occurs 4-6 hours after the concrete is poured, is a noisy operation, and is allowed as needed outside of typical work hours. Once 3rd Street is re-opened, the contractor will work with residents to provide temporary driveway access and to coordinate the preparation of individual driveways for paving.   As always, please use caution when traveling in or around the limits of construction. These improvements are part of the Swisher Sewer Project.
