The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement protection for the small towns and unincorporated areas of Johnson County. Deputies patrol 36 miles of interstate highways, 54 miles of state highways and 909 miles of county roads where they are responsible for responding to emergency and routine calls for assistance as well as enforcing criminal and traffic laws. The Patrol Division also provides contract law enforcement protection for Hills, Lone Tree, Oxford, Shueyville, Solon, Swisher and Tiffin where deputies work closely with local officials and the pubic to serve the needs of the individual communities.
